Projects & Initiatives

The Up Project is currently in its foundational development phase, focused on building strong partnerships, listening to community needs, and aligning resources to ensure our work is thoughtful, effective, and collaborative.

Rather than launching isolated programs, we are intentionally coordinating with civic organizations, nonprofit partners, faith communities, and grant stakeholders to develop initiatives that complement—not compete with—existing services. This groundwork allows us to launch projects that are sustainable, responsive, and rooted in real community need.

Current Focus Areas

Community Collaboration & Partnership Building

We are actively meeting with local nonprofit organizations, civic leaders, and community stakeholders to identify service gaps, strengthen coordination, and reduce duplication of effort. These conversations help ensure that future projects enhance existing work and create a more unified system of support for individuals and families facing instability.

Workforce Pathway Development

The Up Project is working with employers, educators, and workforce partners to design practical pathways that support job readiness, skill development, and long-term employment stability. These efforts focus on aligning training opportunities with real workforce needs while maintaining dignity, accountability, and support.

Grant Readiness & Program Planning

We are currently engaged in grant readiness activities, including program design, budgeting, outcome measurement planning, and compliance preparation. This phase ensures that future projects are fiscally responsible, measurable, and aligned with funder priorities and community impact goals.

Coordinated Support Services Planning

Through collaboration with service providers, The Up Project is assessing how best to connect individuals to essential supports such as housing pathways, education, transportation, and life-skills resources. Our goal is to strengthen access and navigation across systems rather than creating parallel services.

As these initiatives move from planning to implementation, this page will be updated to reflect active projects and measurable outcomes. Our commitment is to build programs that are sustainable, accountable, and rooted in partnership—ensuring that every project launched truly serves the community and advances long-term independence.
