Mission & Vision

Our Mission

To serve the homeless, vulnerable, and displaced by providing food, clothing, shelter, and community support while offering practical life and vocational skills training.  Our mission is to equip individuals with the tools, confidence, and discipline to re-enter the workforce, rejoin their families, and sustain healthy, independent lives.

Our Vision

A community where every person—regardless of their past—has access to the hope, structure, and opportunity needed to rebuild a meaningful life through faith, responsibility, and purpose.

Our Core Values

Faith & Hope: Every life has value and potential for renewal.

Dignity: We treat every participant as a future success story.

Accountability: Progress is measured through discipline and action.

Empowerment: Real change comes from skill-building, not dependency

Community: Lasting transformation happens through relationships and belonging.

Why The Up Project Was Founded

The Up Project was founded to break the cycle of poverty by addressing its root causes — not just its symptoms. Too many individuals and families find themselves trapped between crisis and stability, lacking access to education, job readiness support, and the practical resources needed to rebuild their lives with dignity.

Inspired by lived experience and guided by faith-informed compassion, The Up Project exists to provide transitional housing pathways, workforce readiness support, and wraparound services that empower people to move from hardship to hope. We believe real change happens when opportunity, accountability, and community come together.

Our mission is grounded in the belief that education is the most sustainable bridge out of poverty. Through training, mentorship, and supportive services, we aim to equip individuals not only to survive — but to thrive, contribute, and lead. The Up Project is not about handouts. It is about hands up — restoring dignity, unlocking potential, and building a stronger, more resilient community for generations to come.
